The 3 Keys to Teacher Wellbeing
When teachers begin health coaching to prevent school year burnout, they typically start by focusing on 3 key wellness areas.
Below, I am sharing the magic three with you!
Of course, knowing about these areas doesn’t help you lower stress and feel better during the school year - practicing them does!
That’s why I’m so excited you can officially access the new and improved FREE resource: “The Healthy Teacher Daily Planner: 2021 Edition”.
This new planner is designed to help you practice each of the following areas below daily - Learn more here.
Read on for the 3 keys to teacher wellbeing, plus 2 quotes from others, and 1 question for you to consider this week.
3 Keys to Teacher Wellbeing
I.
BOUNDARIES. If you’ve been following along with the blog recently, you’re likely not surprised to see boundaries on this list! Saying no and setting limits is challenging for many teachers, but boundaries make one of the biggest impacts when it comes to lowering stress and feeling good during the school year.
II.
SELF-COMPASSION. When we get stressed, our inner critics tend to get loud. And those inner critics often perpetuate our stress and make it worse. Self-compassion is the antidote. A consistent self-compassion practice can boost happiness, lower stress, and improve overall physical and mental health.
III.
SELF-CARE. Self-care is often the first thing to go when the school year gets demanding. And when we do include self-care, we don’t always choose the activity that will most help us relieve school day stress. Practice stress-relieving self-care daily can help you feel more centered, calm, and joyful throughout the school year.
