Simplify Your School Day Schedule in 5 Steps
Here are the steps I most recommend for healthy time management:
STEP 1: Establish the blocks of time you will have for sit-down work during the week (consider before and after school and planning periods).
STEP 2: Write down all the tasks on your mind for the week.
STEP 3: Simplify your list of tasks by asking, Does it need to be done by me? Does it need to be done this week? Does it need to be done at all? The tasks that remain should only be the urgent and important tasks for this week.
STEP 4: Estimate how long each remaining task will take.
STEP 5: Plug each task into one of your free work periods and add reminders to tackle each of those tasks in your calendar.
The ONE WAY to Know You are Being Asked to do TOO MUCH: It’s really quite simple. You’ve got too much on your plate if you cannot fit your weekly tasks into your allotted work times.
