Back to school is approaching, and you know what that means - IT’S TIME TO SHOWER THE TEACHERS YOU LOVE WITH GIFTS (that is what it means, right?)!

Or if you’re a teacher, maybe you want to shower yourself in stress-relieving, self-love-boosting, self-compassion-encouraging gifts. We’ve all gotta treat ourselves from time to time after all.

If you are familiar with the mission here at The Teacher Wellness Center, you already know that the gift ideas below were selected with teacher wellbeing in mind.

They are centered around stress relief, self-care and self-compassion - 3 concepts I teach in my coaching programs that are essential for burnout prevention.

I hope these ideas serve as an inspiration if you’re planning on getting a gift for a teacher you care about. Or if you decide to get one of these gifts for yourself - well, that right there, my friend, is a beautiful act of self-care!

Before checking out these gifts, don’t forget to give yourself the #1 gift all teachers deserve (and spoiler: this one doesn’t cost a thing):

GIFTS TO RELAX THE BODY after teaching on your feet all day

Aromatherapy Shower Steamers

For the teacher who wants to relax their muscles after being up and on their feet all day. Aromatherapy is a (rather glorious, in my opinion) sensory experience that can help you wind down or help energize your day, depending on which scents you choose to treat yourself with.

Microwave Heating Pad for Neck and Shoulders

If you have never experienced one of these, buckle up for some relaxation. This is a great option for a teachers that hold tension in their neck, shoulders, and back. Heat it up in the microwave at the end of your day and enjoy the relaxation from both the warmth and aromatherapy of this heating pad.

Weighted Blanket

Weighted blankets use deep pressure stimulation, which is thought to stimulate the production of a mood-boosting hormone, reduce the stress hormone (cortisol), and increase levels of melatonin, the hormone that helps you sleep. This may help improve overall sleep quality. If you or a teacher you know struggles with getting quality sleep, this is a great gift to consider!

Electrolyte Powder for Dehydration Relief

We all know hydrating is important, but sometimes it’s hard to get the hydration you need during a busy school day. This is a lower sugar, doctor-approved electrolyte option that can help you stay hydrated. And staying hydrated can improve your mood, keep you energized, prevent muscle fatigue, and help you prevent and recover from illness.
