3 Healthy Salad Dressing Recipes: Ranch, Honey Mustard, Creamy Thai
Salad dressings these days can have a Frankenstein list of ingredients including questionable oils, artificial colors, preservatives and sugar…
I don’t know about you, but if I’m going to have a sweet treat or something with questionable ingredients, I don’t want it to be my healthy salad.
That’s why I often opt to make my own salad dressings. And as with most of my recipes, all of these are super easy and fast to make because…well, this gal is lazy in the kitchen.
These recipes also all happen to be vegan, paleo, gluten-free, oil-free, and keto friendly. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
3-Ingredient Honey Mustard
3 tbsps tahini
2 tsp mustard of choice (I usually go for standard yellow)
2 tsp raw honey or maple syrup
Add water to desired consistency
Instructions: Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and store in the fridge.
Healthy Hemp Seed Ranch
3/4 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup plain, unsweetened plant milk or water or organic milk
2 tsps lemon juice
1 1/2 tsps dried dill
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions: Blend all of the ingredients in a high speed blender until the hemp seeds are super smooth and store in the fridge.
Thai Almond Dressing
3 tbsps almond butter
Juice of one lime
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp of tamari (soy sauce also works)
Sesame seeds
Add water to desired consistency
Instructions: Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and store in the fridge.
For all of these recipes, add extra water the next day if it has thickened. Double the recipe to have a tasty dressing all week! They each make about 3-4 servings.
Bonus dressing!: Mix avocado with salsa and you have a super fast and easy Tex Mex dressing ready to go.
